Oberliga: St. Martin has to vacate the place in the sun

On Sunday afternoon all eyes were on the Passeier Valley, where newly promoted and league leaders St. Martin were about to face a real test. However, the Gasser team was only partially able to cope with this. After a convincing first half, they collapsed in the second half and had to hand over the full number of points to Dro. Saltuari had equalized Poli's opening goal immediately before the break, but after the restart the guests from Trentino made everything clear with two more goals.

With the away win in St. Martin, Dro takes sole lead in the Oberliga table. Behind them, in addition to the “Mortiner”, are two other South Tyrolean clubs. On the one hand there is Salurn, which has to share third place with SSV Ahrntal after the 0-1 defeat in Ala. This put table neighbors Comano in their place with 1-0. Unterkircher scored the decisive goal shortly before the break.

Meanwhile, FC Obermais' situation at the bottom of the table continues to deteriorate. There was nothing to gain for the bottom team from Meran in the away game at SSV Brixen. Ritsch secured a 1-0 win for the cathedral townspeople. The second-to-last Bozen 96 came to a 1-1 draw in Mori Santo Stefano thanks to a penalty goal from Umer.

Naturns and Tramin offered a convincing performance. While the yellow-blue team recorded a confident 3-0 win (goals from Moriggl, Tappeiner and Felix Rungg), Greif and Co. prevailed at home against Plose with the same result. Meanwhile, Eppan made up for a 0-2 deficit against Levico in Trento and scored a well-deserved point. The Überetsch goals in the second half were both scored by Feltrin.
