Oberliga: St. Martin shoots its way out of the crisis

The game itself was very competitive and really intense. In the end, the guests' stronger will to win was the deciding factor. Tschöll's header after Lanthaler's free kick (58th) and substitute Saltuari, who successfully completed a well-played offensive action (69th), put the “Mortiner” on the road to victory. Lukas Höller scored the next goal after a corner (79') - but there was nothing more to come for the Klotzner team. For St. Martin there were three extremely important points in the relegation battle, which gave the Schuster team a little breathing room.

The points were shared in the other two South Tyrolean derbies. Ahrntal and Weinstraße Süd drew 1-1, while there were no goals at all between Tramin and Bozner FC. Brixen overran Calciochiese in front of their own crowd, although the goals only came after the break. In the first half, the Domstadt team missed two penalties.

Bottom team Eppan also gave a sign of life with a 2-1 away win at Alense. Michael Osti scored the winning goal in the penultimate minute of regular time. St. Georgen, on the other hand, suffered a 0-5 defeat at promotion candidate Trento, while Naturns, after a 2-1 lead and with one man more in Comano's position, ultimately had to admit defeat 2-3.

Oberliga: St. Martin shoots its way out of the crisis

After two defeats in a row, the “Mortiners” returned to winning ways on the fourth matchday of the second half of the season in the highest regional league. And not against just any opponent, but against Obermais, third in the table.
