Oberliga: Tramin makes the title race exciting again

ASV Tramin once again caused high tension before the last matchday. The white-blacks from Weindorf sent League Croesus Levico, who had been so confident up to this point, on their way home with a 0-3 defeat. A brace from Matys Goller and a goal from Arnaldo Kaptina broke the guests' necks. While Tramin will probably end the season in fourth place, Levico now has to really tremble again.

The self-proclaimed title candidate number one is only one point ahead of long-term rival St. Georgen before the last round, who won their home game against St. Martin with a lot of effort 3-2. The second-placed team was even 0-1 behind against Psairer after a penalty goal from Tschöll, but then turned the tables with goals from Harrasser, Albanese and Schwingshackl. The latter benefited from a major blunder by the opposing defense. The guests created tension again at the end with Pirhofer's goal.

Ahrntal is saved, Salurn still has hope

SSV Ahrntal scored a point in the away game in Storo that was worth its weight in gold. The SSV holds the league thanks to the 1-1 draw with direct rivals Calciochiese. Meanwhile at Oberliga-Dino Salurn the signs point to farewell. However, the 1-0 win against Bozner FC still leaves a spark of hope. "We have to win on the last day of the match and Calciochiese lose at the same time, then it will be a playoff. That will be difficult, but miracles happen in football every now and then," said Salurn coach Pellegrini.

Meanwhile, Brixen climbed to sixth place after a 1-0 win in Pergine, while Virtus suffered a bitter 0-3 defeat against Alense. The Eppan derby between FC and St. Pauls ended with a 2-0 home win for the red and whites.
