Oberliga: Two South Tyrolean derbies on the fourth matchday of the second half of the season

Between Eppan and Bozner FC there is a basement derby about vital points in the relegation battle. The Überetscher are currently fourth from bottom in the table, the Talfestädter even have the red lantern. That's why both teams need one more "threesome" than necessary in order to slowly but surely get closer to the safe shore. The Eppan team have picked up four points in the two games of the second half of the season so far. With a win they would probably make a leap forward in the ranking and increase the gap to the bottom. Bozner FC has recently gained a lot of self-confidence thanks to the victory over Alense. Now the next complete success should come, which would make the capital city team continue to believe in the miracle of staying in the league.

In the other South Tyrolean duel between Tramin and St. Georgen, it is less about the ranks behind them and more about catching up with the top of the table. Here the seventh (Tramin) and the ninth (St. Georgen) face each other. Both teams are waiting for their first win in 2014, both teams have achieved a draw in their respective games. Now the first “threesome” is to come, which would mean a step up in the tightly packed table.

Difficult opponents for the top teams Salurn and Ahrntal have not been able to carry on their momentum from the first half of the season so far. On the contrary: both teams are waiting for the first point in the spring series. Both teams are still in one of the top places in the table, but if they don't score (at least) points again on Sunday, then the train for the championship title could leave without them.

Salurn, fourth in the table, is visiting leaders Calciochiese. The Trentino team will be without the suspended Paolo Ferretti, while the Unterlanders will have to make do without Adijan Azizi.

Ahrntal (5th) has to do without three players due to a suspension against second-placed Mori, namely Dominik Kirchler, Stefan Pareiner and Manuel Pipperger.

A home game awaits Plose, namely against Comano. The Eisacktalers want to build on their performance against Salurn and get their next win. Naturns also plays in front of their own fans, against Levico. Brixen and St. Martin are going abroad, namely to Alense and Trento respectively.

The football championship in the major league continues this weekend with the fourth matchday of the spring series. The local fans can enjoy, among other things, two local derbies: Eppan welcomes Bozner FC and Tramin hosts St. Georgen.
