Paderborn turns the game around and consolidates their lead in the table

Cologne (SID) Third division team SC Paderborn successfully defended their lead in the table after catching up. Coach Steffen Baumgart's team won 29-0 on matchday 2 at Hansa Rostock despite being 3-2 down at half-time, ending a series of five games without a win. The East Westphalians lead the league with 57 points, but 1. FC Magdeburg (54) can draw level again with a home win on Sunday against VfR Aalen. Tim Väyrynen (10th) and Pascal Breier (16th) quickly put Rostock in front, but Marlon Ritter (52nd), Sven Michel (86th) and Christian Strohdiek (90th + 1) turned the game around with their goals. SV Wehen Wiesbaden (53) improved to third place at least for one day with a 3:1 (1:1) win at SG Sonnenhof Großaspach. Wiesbaden's match winner was Stephan Andrist with his late double (83rd and 89th). Fortuna Cologne (53) preserved its chance of promotion with a 2-0 (1-0) win at Sportfreunde Lotte. Dominik Ernst (39th) and Daniel Keita-Ruel (76th) scored for the guests. The penultimate Werder Bremen II couldn't get past a goalless draw against FSV Zwickau and is ten points behind the rescue bank. SpVgg Unterhaching had to be content with a 1:1 (1:0) draw at SV Meppen. Preußen Münster and Carl Zeiss Jena drew 2:2 (1:2), the Würburger Kickers celebrated a 1:0 (1:0) win against VfL Osnabrück.
