SportNews: Patrizio Morini, you are known for studying your opponents very closely. What can you tell us about Valenzana?

Patricia Morini: Valenzana is a club with a very long tradition, having played in the Lega Pro. But we are the “Jergina” and, like in every game, we will give everything to survive against this team. Our primary goal is not to concede a goal. If we win on Sunday or draw 0-0, then we have a good chance in the second leg in Valenza.

What are the chances that St. Georgen will advance to the next round?

The chances are 50 percent. The runners-up in the table of all upper league districts throughout Italy are more or less equal. I expect an open game and we certainly have a good chance of reaching the second round.

It is noticeable that St. Georgen is always at its best when it counts and is always there in the important games...

The team is like the coach (laughs). All joking aside, our team is always highly motivated. We got 62 points in the championship this year, 67 last year. And both times it wasn't enough to win the league title. This is surprising because in the past 20 years there have not been many teams that have been able to score more than 60 points in the championship. That's why we are very satisfied with our performance. Sooner or later we will definitely win the championship with more than 60 points.

Now St. Georgen has the chance to get promoted to Serie D via the playoffs...

Yes, but it won't be easy. If we don't succeed, we will try to be at the top again next season. So far we have almost always succeeded. With this group and some reinforcements, we can certainly play for the championship.

Reinforcements?

I can't name any names yet. Our squad is a good fit, but like every year someone new will probably join us. But I don't know who's coming yet. Our team fits in so well, I'm very happy with the squad. But if someone else comes, then I – like every coach in the world – will be even happier (laughs).
