Piergiuseppe Maritato shoots FC Südtirol to victory in Padova

For the FCS, the duel with Padova was a groundbreaking game, because after two wins and as many defeats, Fink & Co. wanted to stand out from the gray middle of the table and make it into the top field with a complete success. For coach Giovanni Stroppa, only three points counted in Padova. He changed his team to three positions compared to last Sunday: While Tait and Maritato returned to the starting lineup for Bandini and Gliozzi, new signing Lima, who played for captain Furlan, made his debut for the white-reds. Padova came out of the locker room a little stronger, but didn't have much to offer apart from a header chance from Niccolini (52nd) and a missed goal from Fabiano (79th) and suffered their first defeat in the fifth championship game. FC Südtirol, on the other hand, overtook the club from Veneto thanks to their third “threesome” of the season and can now move back up the table.
