Plose and Tramin save themselves – Naturns has to go back to the regional league

In Albiano there was a so-called final between the hosts from Trentino and Plose. The Eisacktal club took a 2-0 lead in the first half of the game and had to concede a goal in the second half before “Bomber” Hansjörg Stockner finally sealed the deal with a 3-1 win and Albiano fell into a vale of tears.

Obermais, which had been relegated since last week, gave Naturns nothing in the derby and took the Grünfelder team with them into the state league. A 2-2 draw was not enough for the Blue and Yellows to stay in the highest regional football league. Obermais took the lead twice (Pamer, Höller), and Naturns only managed to score an equalizer. A 1-1 draw with Brixen was enough for Tramin to stay in the league. The fourth relegated team is FC Bozen 96, who lost 1-2 in Comano.

Leaders Dro drew for the 19th time this season (this time against Ahrntal) and won the championship title with 52 points. Second place went to St. Martin, which lost 0-3 to Alense. The “Mortiner” will play against Triestina for promotion to Serie D.

The 30th matchday in the league was hard to beat in terms of excitement. Five clubs could have been caught before kick-off. In the end Naturns and Albiano were relegated.
