Cup final, 2nd amateur league: Meran wins the pot

The Passerstadt team prevailed 6:5 after a penalty shootout against Frangart. The defeat was doubly bitter for Scherer's troops because they missed out on qualifying for the playoffs with the second-placed team in the 2nd Amateur League.

In a game with few highlights, the luckier team won. And after the penalty shootout, that was FC Meran, who were crowned champions in District A of the 2nd amateur league this year and achieved the double with the cup victory. After Stefan Bernard's lead from the penalty spot (69'), it looked for a long time as if Frangart would win the final in Vahrn. But a minute before the end of regular time, Jurcevic had a little too much space and served Franzoso with a wonderful pass, who beat Stefania in the Überetscher goal with a remarkable volley (89th).

No goals were scored in extra time and the cup winner had to be decided on penalties. All players scored there - all except Alex Guglielmo, who got stuck to Pasquale Colosimo. However, the cup success had a small flaw due to the dismissal of the Merano coach Bertinato, a supervisor and reserve goalie Fenderini.
