Draw against the bottom team: next setback for the FCS

In the third home game of the season, coach William Viali had to rely on an almost complete squad. Only Torregrossa and Lomolino were missing due to injuries. Two local players, Fabian Tait and Hannes Fink, were once again used from the start in the usual 4-3-3 system. FC Südtirol started like the fire department and recorded three shots in the first seven minutes by Ciurria, Furlan and Tulli, but all of them were too imprecise. After an initial wake-up call from Forlì (16th), the FCS immediately took control again and were unlucky with a slightly inaccurate Ciurria header (22nd). A few minutes later, Tulli forced visiting keeper Turrin into a brilliant save with a powerful shot, before Bassoli was also unable to convert the resulting corner kick with a shot on the move. Contrary to the run of the game, it was the men from Emilia-Romagna who took the lead in the 35th minute: After a cross from Tonelli, Bardelloni was in the right place at the second post and nodded in to make it a flattering 1-0. With the guests narrowly in the lead, we went into the half-time break.

Viali with a golden hand Fink and Co. started out of the locker room with a lot of anger in their stomachs and immediately pushed for the equalizer. This came in the 51st minute through Sparacello, who came on as a substitute at the break: The offensive man heaved a pass from Tulli into the net and scored his first goal of the season to make it 1-1. Less than ten minutes later, midfielder Obodo was unlucky when he hit the crossbar after a corner from Fink. After the Nigerian's huge opportunity, it took a while for the FCS to get dangerously close to the opponent's goal again. 15 minutes before the end, Forlì defender Vesi deflected a shot from Sparacello with his arm, but the referee allowed the action to continue. In the final phase, Sparacello (80th) and Gliozzi (90th+1) failed twice more against the strong Turrin, then the referee whistled the game off. FC Südtirol couldn't reward their appealing performance - the 1-1 draw left a more than a bad aftertaste for the Viali team.

Draw against the bottom team: next setback for the FCS

On the fifth matchday of the Lega Pro Championship, FC Südtirol did not get beyond a 1-1 draw against the bottom team from Forlì. Despite several top-class players, the White-Reds only managed one point.
