SSV Brixen: Edenhauser strengthens the offensive – Fanani says goodbye

Neo-coach Klaus Schuster (he inherited the departed Alfredo Sebastiani) will no longer be able to rely on the services of striker Dennis Fanani in the coming season, alongside Johannes Seeber, Danny Fäckl (both Albeins) and Hannes Filehner (Ritten). The 20-year-old has decided to slow down a bit and will therefore storm for Albeins in the 1st amateur league in the future.

The Brixen club management was able to welcome three new players: returnee and keeper Manuel Angerer (born in 1997) comes from Milland and will find the place between the posts with Elias Unterfrauner and Paolo Di Luca. Regular goalkeeper Matthias Siller is still suffering from his cruciate ligament injury and is not expected to return until September.

Another returnee, Lukas Edenhauser, was welcomed in the attack. The striker, who scored seven state league goals for Vahrn last year, last played for SSV Brixen in the 2012/13 season and now has another chance in the league. With Stefano Betteto, the Eisacktaler team also signed a youth player from FC Südtirol who will play in midfield.

“The squad is complete for now. We'll now see how the first few weeks of training go. Maybe we’ll hit the transfer market again,” said sporting director Matthias Filehner.
