South Tyrolean talents: This is how the season went for De Luca & Co.

Simon Straudi (21 | Werder Bremen): The Pusterer was on the bench six times in the Bundesliga at the start of the season and was subsequently used in the second team. In the regional league (4th league) he was a regular player, making 15 appearances and one goal. However, Straudi's future does not lie on the Weser. Werder sports director Frank Baumann announced in the Bild-Zeitung that on a rental shop is worked.

In February, Beccari, who made the leap to North Tyrol from Bozner FC, celebrated his Bundesliga debut against Rapid Vienna. It was the only appearance for the goalkeeper, who had to be relegated to the second division with Wattens.

Manuel De Luca (22 | Virtus Entella): He is currently the best South Tyrolean footballer in Serie B. The Leifer native has appeared 16 times for Virtus Entella this season, with the striker scoring two goals. Since the restart things have stopped working and De Luca is mostly on the bench. The Torino loanee has only been allowed to play for eleven minutes since then - probably also because his loan is about to expire and his future does not lie in Chiavari.

Emanuele Zuelli (18 | Chievo Verona): Since his professional debut in February, Zuelli has recently played regularly for Chievo in Serie B ( here's the link SportNews -Article). Previously, as captain of the Primavera team, the Bolzano player was an important building block in the youth team of the relegated Serie A team. It will be exciting to see where the South Tyrolean talent goes in the coming months and years - the beginning is definitely successful.

Mathias Theiner (22 | Austria Salzburg): The Obervinschger has been trying his luck beyond the Brenner for years, initially in Germany and now in Austria. Theiner is a guarantee in central defense for the third division and traditional club Austria Salzburg.

Simone Zanon (18 | SSC Napoli, Primavera): He was a regular player in the junior team and also trained with the professionals from time to time. Zanon won't stay in Naples anyway, the club has let the purchase option pass.

The Sinich native has returned to FC Südtirol for the time being, where he could be a serious squad option due to his versatility (he can play in midfield and as a full-back). It is unclear whether he will stay in Bolzano, but Zanon is currently one of the biggest talents in South Tyrolean football.

Lorenzo Sgarbi (19 | SSC Napoli, Primavera): The former FCS youth player was signed by Napoli (for a rumored sum of around 700.000 euros) and was used in the Primavera team. Sgarbi didn't shine there with many goals (2), but he was still an undisputed regular player and an important building block of the team. The club relies on him and often lets him train with Rino Gattuso and the professionals. By the way: Aladino Valoti, who also worked at FC Südtirol, will act as sports director of the Napoli juniors in the future.

Fabian Straudi (Werder Bremen, U19): Simon Straudi's brother was Regular player in the U19 Bundesliga team of the Germans. Fabian Straudi impressed in Bremen.

In 21 appearances, the central midfielder collected 3 goals and 5 assists. Now he should be given a chance in Werder's second team.

David Wieser (18 | Inter, Under 18): The Val Gardena native from Ortisei was used in Milan's U18 team, where he was recommended for the Primavera team. In total, Wieser appeared five times for the Nerazzurri. Bolzano goalkeeper Simone Tononi (he is returning to FC Südtirol) was also between the posts for the U18s. Kifle Gambato (2004), another FCS youth player, is active in the Inter-Youth team.
