Tramin, Naturns and Plose celebrate: Remaining in the top league is secured!

It has been clear since Sunday, 17.49:XNUMX p.m.: No South Tyrolean club has to go to the regional league. With the final whistle in St. Andrä, where Plose wrested a point from Eppan, Rotaliana was confirmed as the third relegated team alongside Vallagarina and Rovereto.

However, Plose's survival hung by a thread for a long time, as the promoted team from Eisacktal only managed the much-celebrated equalizer against Eppan in the final phase. So the playoffs against Rotaliana were just averted. The Trentino team had the upper hand in the derby against Salurn with 2-1 and thus put a lot of pressure on their competitors - including SSV Naturns, which was only relieved in the 77th minute by a penalty goal from defender Armin Rungg. The Burggräfler team won the duel against Ahrntal at home 1-0.

Coach Marco Bertoncini was correspondingly relieved after the final whistle: “We played very badly, but that doesn't count for anything in the end. The fact is: we have the chance to stay in the league and will celebrate it properly!”

SV Tramin also has reason to celebrate, as they left nothing to be desired on the last day of the match and safely scored the necessary “three points” against Mori Santo Stefano. Already in the first half, Stefan Rellich secured a chance of staying in the league with two goals. This was finally sealed in the 80th minute with Florian Psenner's goal to make the final score 3-0. “Nobody expected us to stay in the league in February, so I’m all the more pleased that my boys delivered a series of great performances in the season finale,” was the first statement from Tramin coach Roberto Pignatelli.

Obermais climbs to fourth place

In the top half of the table, FC Obermais confirmed its status as the best South Tyrolean league team. The Merano team even climbed to fourth place in the table thanks to a clear 3-1 win against Albiano. SSV Brixen rounded off an overall convincing season with a 3-2 win in Ala.

Newly promoted Fersina ended a memorable season with an impressive 7-1 defeat of bottom team Rovereto. Second-placed Trento (2-2 against Vallagarina), however, has the chance to secure promotion to Serie D in the play-off games.
