Transfer splitter | Dybala hype in Rome

Paulo Dybala moves to AS Roma on a free transfer. Dybala was already on his way to Portugal on Monday, where José Mourinho's team was currently training, in order to undergo the usual medical checks. Dybala's departure from Turin after seven seasons was already certain. His contract expired, and at the end of June the club said goodbye to Dybala with a “thank you for everything” after 293 appearances and 115 goals for the old lady. Inter were also long considered interested in the Argentine technician.

Roma club legend Francesco Totti has already offered him the number 10, which has not been given since his resignation. Dybala thanked him for this, but rejected it out of respect for Totti and chose the number 21 jersey. It will be interesting to see whether the 28-year-old, who is expected to earn around 18 million euros in Rome in three years, will find his old strength in the capital.

What else was there to report from the transfer market in the last few days? Wolfsburg has Bologna's midfielders Mattias Svänberg for just under 10 million euros. Juventus signed Genoa's young left-back Andrew Cambiaso and gave it directly to Bologna. Milan has Mattia Caldara awarded again. This time the central defender is going to Spezia Calcio.

European Champion Federico Bernadeschi follows his compatriots Domenico Criscito and Lorenzo Insigne and moves to Toronto FC in the MLS on a free transfer. His contract with Juve had expired. Also Arturo Vidal moves to Flamengo Rio de Janeiro in Brazil for free. In England, Tottenham Hotspurs, coach Antonio Conte's club, struck. The right defender comes from the second division Djed spence (21) to Spurs for 15 million.

The Norwegian Leo Östigard is supposed to make Koulibaly forget in Naples.

Leo Ostigard remains in Italy after his six-month stint with Genoa. However, the 22-year-old central defender will not play for the relegated team in Serie B in the future, but for Champions League participants Napoli. The transfer fee would be between 5 and 9 million euros. In Naples, Östigard is supposed to replace Kalidou Koulibaly, who recently went to Chelsea for 38 million euros.
