But then Lazio woke up from their dreams and turned the game around in a big way.

Coach: Florian Demetz The women got their only point of the day after a goalless draw with Lazio. The draw was okay, even if the South Tyroleans had a slight increase in chances. Hannah Bielak had a good chance, but her shot was too unplaced after a great combination. Since the women play in a circle of three, a symbolic penalty shootout had to be used to determine which team would face Abruzzo today. Since South Tyrol's goalkeeper Graus showed a strong performance throughout the game and saved three penalties, Barbacovi & Co. are allowed to take a break today and have to play against the team from central Italy on Tuesday.

The first matchday of the regional tournament, which is taking place in Calabria this year, was played on Sunday. The South Tyrolean selections could not cover themselves with glory against Lazio. There were defeats three times, but the women took home the only point of the day.
