Virtus Bozen is facing a truly mammoth task

In the Brianteo Stadium, where Serie B games have been played in the past, the most accurate attack to date meets the most porous defense. While Monza has seven goals scored, Virtus conceded the same number of goals in the first two games. Nevertheless, the Lomi team has big plans for the away game in Lombardy. “It couldn't have been harder for us at that moment. On paper, Monza has a Lega Pro eleven. However, I can promise that we will do everything we can to bring down the favorite. We can cause a surprise,” explains Virtus captain Hannes Kiem in an interview with SportNews. “If we don't succeed, it wouldn't be a problem. I am sure that our troops have the necessary strength to get back up straight away.”

The former FC Südtirol professional doesn't want to draw any hasty conclusions after just two games this season. He wants to establish himself with Virtus in Italy's fourth highest league: “I've been with this club for a year and, looking back, I can say that I couldn't have made a better choice. Virtus represents an entire city. I am very proud to be able to lead this season as captain. I hope that I can contribute to staying in the league – and this will certainly not be decided after the second or third matchday.”
