World footballer election: These are the 10 candidates

On Tuesday, FIFA published the short lists with the ten names available for selection. Surprisingly, Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr. was not on this list. The PSG professional did not make it into the final selection after a mixed year of football. Performance during the season from July 3, 2017 to July 15, 2018 will be taken into account.

The list of ten players up for election was compiled by a jury made up of FIFA legends. Alessandro Nesta and Fabio Capello, two stars of Italian football history, are also part of the 13-member jury.
