Werder: Rashica and Langkamp come - Hajrovic goes

Bremen (SID) Werder Bremen has found a replacement for the injured Fin Bartels: The Hanseatic League announced on Wednesday the signing of 21-year-old attacker Milot Rashica from Vitesse Arnheim. Around 7,5 million euros are being traded as a transfer fee for the striker from Kosovo. Werder strengthened their defense with Sebastian Langkamp (30) from league rivals Hertha BSC. In return, Izet Hajrovic is leaving the club. “We are very happy that we were able to clarify the final details and that we were able to convince a very promising player, Milot, to join us,” said sports director Frank Baumann. The end of the contract has not been officially announced, but a term until 2022 is being discussed. Coach Florian Kohfeldt speaks of Rashica as a "player with great perspective and someone who can strengthen us immediately. He is good in one-on-one situations, provides speed in depth and offers us even more opportunities in our squad with his qualities ." Werder is thus closing the gap that arose after Bartels ruptured his Achilles tendon in December. Hajrovic, however, will no longer be available to Kohfeldt. The bony offensive player is moving to Dinamo Zagreb after 38 Bundesliga games in the Bremen jersey.
