Again just one point for FC Südtirol

The encounter started very badly for FC Südtirol, as Pavia center forward Ferdinando Sforzini headed in after just 17 minutes to make it 1-0. However, the home team quickly recovered and equalized just eight minutes later: Alberto Spagnoli, who only extended his contract at the beginning of the week, gave former FCS goalkeeper Facchin no chance to defend with a spectacular bicycle kick. This is the attacker's first goal of the season. Only a short time after the equalizer, Sforzini's fuses blew. He allowed himself to be carried away with brutal violence and was consequently sent off with a red card.

FC Südtirol now clearly took the reins, also because Pavia was further weakened by two injury-related substitutions. The focus was always on Hannes Fink, who fired a warning shot shortly before the break and then failed to hit the post after the break with a remarkable finish from distance. Immediately afterwards, Tulli was unable to take advantage of a failed pass from Facchin. On the other side, a shot from Cesarini just missed the FCS box. However, this was one of the few upsets of the second half. Michael Cia missed the last high-profile chance for victory in stoppage time. The substitute winger came free to shoot on the edge of the penalty area, but failed due to a sensational reflex from Facchin. The tie was sealed.

Both teams are missing out on an important “threesome” in the fight for playoff participation. Due to the way the game went, the two points awarded will leave a bitter aftertaste, especially for FC Südtirol.

Again just one point for FC Südtirol

Although the FCS put in a good performance, overcoming a 0-1 deficit and then being allowed to play with one more man for an hour, in the end they only managed a 1-1 draw at home against their table neighbors Pavia. This is the third draw in a row.
