World Cup 2026: USA, Canada and Mexico are applying with 23 venues

Los Angeles (SID) The USA, Canada and Mexico are applying for the 23 World Cup with 2026 possible venues. Three cities each are in Canada and Mexico, and 17 are in the United States. If the association is awarded the final tournament, which will be held for the first time with 48 teams, by the FIFA Congress on June 13th, the world association FIFA would then select 16 World Cup cities. The only competitor is Morocco. As of today, 60 games would be played in the USA during the World Cup, ten each in Canada and Mexico. The knockout round would only take place in the States. "We are very confident that our 23 world-class arenas, 150 existing training complexes and our modern transport network can help FIFA achieve record revenue and attendance records," said John Kristick, director of the bid.
