Darmstadt (SID) President Rüdiger Fritsch from the second division football team Darmstadt 98 supported his old and new coach Dirk Schuster before the groundbreaking catch-up game against 1. Darmstadt is currently in a relegation battle and Schuster has only managed one win in five games since his return. Relegation to the 3rd league would also make planning for a new stadium much more difficult. But even under these circumstances, Fritsch sees a conversion as necessary. “There’s no such thing as Bölle anymore in League 3,” said Fritsch. Without a new and modern stadium, no further development is possible, said the club boss.
