Löw wants to get a ticket to the European Championship with the returning crew

National coach Joachim Löw nominated the trio for the final two European Championship qualifiers against Belarus (November 16 in Mönchengladbach) and three days later against Northern Ireland in Frankfurt/Main.

Löw called up a total of 21 field players and three goalkeepers. There were no surprises. Emre Can is in the squad for the game against Belarus despite his red card suspension, while Niklas Stark is the only professional without an international match in the squad. As expected, Mats Hummels is not there. The national coach has to do without Julian Draxler, Marcel Halstenberg, Thilo Kehrer, Antonio Rüdiger, Leroy Sane, Niklas Süle and Kevin Trapp, among others.

“Of course, the most important thing is that we qualify for the European Championships next year. “That’s why we want to win against Belarus and Northern Ireland, who will demand everything from us, especially in terms of fighting,” said Löw.

The selection of the German Football Association (DFB) is level in Group C with 15 points with the Dutch, who have the same number of points. Northern Ireland follows in third place (12 points). The top two in the group will win the ticket for the European Championships (June 12th to July 12th). If the DFB team wins against Belarus and the Dutch do not lose in the parallel game in Northern Ireland, the three-time European champions Germany would have qualified early for the finals.
