All scenarios: This is how Germany gets to the round of 16

On the last matchday of the World Cup group phase, numerous constellations are possible in the duel between the world champions and South Korea on Wednesday (16.00 p.m.) in Kazan and the parallel game between Mexico and Sweden. To save yourself having to do the math, Kroos & Co. have to win by two goals - then progress would be assured. All scenarios:

Germany reaches the round of 16... ... if the DFB team wins against South Korea by at least two goals.

... if the DFB team wins against South Korea and Sweden doesn't win against Mexico.

... if the DFB team wins against South Korea, Sweden wins against Mexico, and Germany does not have the fewest goals scored with the same goal difference between the teams.

...if the DFB team draws against South Korea and Sweden loses against Mexico.

...if the DFB team draws against South Korea and Sweden also draws against Mexico. Then Germany has to score more or the same number of goals in their draw than Sweden.

...if the DFB team loses against South Korea and Sweden loses against Mexico. To do this, Germany would have to hope that Sweden loses with the same result as the DFB team against South Korea. Then there would be a three-way comparison between Germany, Sweden and South Korea. In this case, Germany would either have the most goals scored and would be further. Or if both games ended 1-0, South Korea would be eliminated from the three-way comparison and Germany would have won the subsequent direct comparison with Sweden.
