The biggest: Only one player exceeded the two-meter height mark at the tournament in Russia: Croatian goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic from the Belgian club KAA Gent measures exactly 2,01 meters from head to toe. Danish defender Jannik Vestergaard is only slightly smaller at 2,00 m.

The smallest: However, Saudi Arabia's Jahja Al-Shehri is certainly not a header monster. The midfielder from Spanish first division club CD Leganes is 1,65 meters tall, making him the shortest player at the World Cup in Russia along with Switzerland's Xherdan Shaquiri and Panama's Alberto Quintero.

The oldest: Born on January 15.01.1973, 45 and therefore the oldest player in the tournament: At XNUMX years old, Egyptian goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary is also the oldest player ever to be nominated for a World Cup finals. He is even older than three coaches at the World Cup (Senegal, Serbia, Belgium).

The youngest: The Australian Daniel Arzani is only 19 years old. He is the only actor born in 1999 (January). However, Arzani, who was born in Iran, does not hold an all-time record. At the 2002 World Cup, the Nigerian Femi Opabunmi started his first tournament at the age of 17 years and two months. The second youngest in Russia is France's Kylian Mbappe, who was born in December 1998. The heaviest: Panama's Roman Torres leads the list of heavyweights with 99 kilograms. The Seattle Sounders defender is, among other things, one kilo lighter than: Harry Kane. As the English press noted, England's association apparently made a mistake when reporting to FIFA. The captain of the “Three Lions” is only supposed to weigh 89 kg.

The lightest: Only the Japanese Takashi Inui is below the 59 mark at 60 kg. The Englishman Jesse Lingard weighs one kilogram more.

The oldest coach: At 71, Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez has plenty of experience on the bench. Although he is the oldest head coach at the World Cup in Russia, he does not break Otto Rehhagel's record: in 2010, the German was the oldest coach in World Cup history at 71 years and 306 days.
