Evelin Lanthaler wins the World Cup in Obdach-Winterleiten
World champion Evelin Lanthaler won the fourth natural track luge World Cup race in Obdach-Winterleiten in Styria. The 23-year-old from Platt im Passeier prevailed ahead of the Russian Ekatharina Lavrentjeva and the Austrian Tina Unterberger. In the men's category, world champion Patrick Pigneter had to admit defeat to local hero Michael Scheikl. Thomas Schöpf, another Styrian, came third.
