Pigneter/Clara probably lost their victory in qualifying: “Unfortunately we messed up the first run,” said Pigneter after the race, and his partner Clara added: “The second run was great, but just one good run isn’t enough. Nevertheless, we are not dissatisfied and we will attack again next season.” The Austrians Rupert Brüggler/Tobias Angerer came second in Umhausen, who were able to move up to third place in the overall World Cup: “We made the impossible possible” said Brüggler, while his partner Angerer spoke of the “icing on the cake” of this season.
