Porshnev/Lazarev take the lead in the overall World Cup
At the Natural Track Luge World Cup in Zelezniki, Slovenia, an exciting second run in the doubles competition put the luge world back on track. After the first round, the Poles Andrzej Laszczak/Damian Waniczek were in the lead, the German doubles Björn Kierspel/Christian Wichan were in a promising fourth place and the favorites Pavel Porshnev/Ivan Lazarev and Patrick Pigneter/Florian Clara were only in third and fifth place respectively . However, the winning picture was identical to that of the previous week: Porshnev/Lazarev, who are still slightly impaired from their fall in Valdaora, won the race and thus also took the lead in the WÜRZ Energy Overall World Cup.
