Let down by your own association

The chances of natural track luge athletes being allowed to compete in the Olympics have never been so good. However, in its efforts to get the discipline into the program for the 2026 Winter Games, host country Italy was left in the lurch by the International Luge Federation (FIL).

“Our own association doesn’t have much interest in natural track tobogganing,” says Patrick Pigneter angrily. The events of the last few days disappoint him.
