There are still 4 teams in the race for the championship title in Volleyball Serie A. The favorites come from Trento and Perugia, where South Tyrolean Simone Giannelli is also under contract. Raphaela Folie and her team made it to the semi-finals.

Giannelli won Perugia's first playoff semi-final game against Milan 3-1 (25:17, 25:23, 23:25, 25:22). In the best-of-five series, the first step towards reaching the final has been taken. There Giannelli could meet Itas Trient, his former club. The Trentino team are reigning champions and gave Monza (3-0) no chance in the first semi-final duel.

The quarter-final series for the women came to an end at the weekend. Raphaela Folie from Missian and her team (Vero Volley Milan) are among the last 4 teams. Milan will face Scandicci in the semi-finals. The second semi-final has not yet been decided. Conegliano has already achieved promotion, Chieri and Novara have to play a third game.
