Volleyball in the snow delights Kronplatz

This weekend the final of the Italian Snow Volleyball Absolute Championships at Kronplatz came to an end.

On a great stage, the young local athletes of SSV Bruneck Volleyball, which organizes the final act of the national round together with the Italian Volleyball Federation, were the big protagonists in both tables.

In the women's category, the young team with Anja and Lea Burgmann, Sarah Riva and Julia Mairhofer prevailed against the more experienced Cristiana Parenzan, Federica Tonon and Anna Dostalova 2-0 (16:14, 15:12), with the greater sporting freshness of the home team was the deciding factor.

It was no different for the men: Theo Hanni, Peter Seeber, Michael Burgmann and Thomas Berger confidently beat their opponents Enrico Lupatelli, Michele Bennato, Gaetano Vespero and Atef Adel 2-0 (15:12, 15:11). The young athletes of SSV Bruneck Volleyball confirmed themselves as the best team in Italy for the third time in a row. Excited but happy, the two young captains:

“We are happy about our success here in our local mountains,” said Lea Burgmann, “we feel good in the snow, because snow volleyball is a discipline in which you can move around in fantastic nature. I would like to thank my teammates for this victory.”

“We have confirmed ourselves as champions, which of course makes us happy,” said captain Peter Seeber. “We led the game well from the start, the home crowd helped us, it was easier that way. We had fun, there were two good days of sport, now it’s back to volleyball for the next missions.”
