Final series: Giannelli & Co. receive an equalizer

Simone Giannelli and his team Perugia are fighting for the Italian championship title in Serie A. In the final series against Monza, the Bolzano world star received the equalizer on Sunday.

On Thursday, Simone Giannelli got off to a strong start with Perugia in the final best-of-5 series. The team led by the local volleyball star won 3-1. But now Monza hit back in front of their home crowd: The Lombards won the second final 2-3 and thus leveled the series at 2-1.

Monza showed an enormous fighting spirit, after all the underdog was already 1:2 behind in sets. But then Monza turned the match around. Game 3 continues on Thursday in Perugia.
