An outstanding Raphaela Folie is in the final of the Coppa Italia with Vero Volley Milano. The Missian woman played a key role in the success in the semi-final against Scandicci.

Milano beat Scandicci 3-2 in sets (21:25, 25:16, 25:17, 14:25, 15:10) in a real thriller. The opponent in the final on Sunday at 14.15:25 p.m. is the undisputed Serie A leader Conegliano. Isabelle Haak's team eliminated Chieri in the semifinals with 18:25, 16:25 and 12:XNUMX. The favorite roles are clear, but Folie will do everything in her power to win the final against her former club.

Scandicci got off to a better start at PalaTrieste and benefited from numerous mistakes by the opponent. Paola Egonu also didn't initially act with her usual precision. On the other hand, Ekaterina Antropova showed all her skills and scored eleven points in the first set alone. These proved crucial.

Foil trumps everything

Led by Folie, who shone with several spectacular actions, Milano showed a completely different face at the beginning of the second round and gained an 8:4 lead. Instead of a reaction from the outsider, Milano showed off - also thanks to Folie, who was successful not only with two blocks, but also with four attacks. Impressive: Her success rate in the second set was 100 percent.

The spectators saw the same picture in the third set: Folie was the best athlete on the field and brought Scandicci to the brink of despair. Milano quickly gained a lead again, which was then continuously expanded. But the team from Tuscany didn't give up: Because Milano now acted much more incorrectly, Scandicci went ahead 14:8 in the fourth set - and quickly closed the bag.

In the tiebreak, the teams gave each other nothing – until 6:5 for Scandicci. Then superstar Egonu took the reins and almost single-handedly brought her team ahead 10:6. Scandicci continued to fight, but Paola Egonu's elemental force could not be stopped.
