No medal for Jakob Weger in Ivrea

South Tyrol's best slalom canoeist Jakob Weger remained without a medal at the Italian Canoe Slalom Championships on the Dora Baltea in Ivrea (Piedmont). The 19-year-old SC Meran paddler had to settle for 5th place after a few small mistakes in the final run.

From Thursday to Sunday, Ivrea will be the 4th stop of the Canoe Slalom World Cup, where Matthias and Jakob Weger will also be in action. The new canoe slalom Italian champion in the kayak single was Christian De Dionigi from Milan ahead of Zeno Ivaldi (Verona) and Marcello Beda (Bologna).
