Widmann and Seiwald are guests in Andorra

This weekend the Mountain Bike World Cup stopped in Andorra. On Sunday, the South Tyroleans Greta Seiwald and Veronika Widmann pedaled.

Greta Seiwald, who recently finished 20th at the World Championships in Scotland, finished 30th in the cross-country race in Andorra on Sunday. The woman from Gsies remained 8.09:1.14,09 minutes behind the day's winner Mona Mitterwallner (0,34:1,28 hours) from Austria. Alexandra Keller (+XNUMX minutes/Switzerland) and Pauline Ferrand Prevot (+XNUMX minutes/France) completed the podium.


After Veronika Widmann qualified for the final of the downhill race in 13th place in the qualification on Friday, the South Tyrolean did not take a step forward today on Sunday. After crossing the finish line, she was in 14th place, 16,844 seconds behind today's dominator Nina Hoffmann from Germany (3.09,755:2 minutes). Second place went to Valentina Höll (+2,836 seconds) from Austria, while Tahnee Seagrave from Great Britain came third (+4,192 seconds).

Widmann is now heading to Loudenvielle-Peyragudes in France (September 1st to 3rd), while Seiwald will set up camp in Haute-Savoie (also France) from September 7th.
