Tragedy in Naples: corpse after Serie A top game

A tragedy occurred at the Maradona Stadium during the Serie A match between Napoli and Milan. A body was found that night.

Around 53.000 fans attended the big game between Napoli and Milan on Sunday evening in the stadium. Some Tifosi who couldn't get a ticket tried to get to the Maradona Stadium in a detour. This attempt ended fatally for a 42-year-old from the province of Naples.

Together with a friend he had - according to the Journal of Sport – tried to get into the stadium interior via a tunnel. He had to balance on a beam over a 20-meter abyss and fell. His friend saw the horrific scene and alerted the police. The 42-year-old's body was found and recovered following the Serie A game.
