Bitter: Simon Straudi injured again

Simon Straudi has repeatedly struggled with injuries throughout his career. Now the Austrian legionnaire has been hit again.

After an ankle injury that lasted several weeks, Strudi was back in the starting eleven for Austria Klagenfurt for the first time at the weekend in the 0-4 home defeat against Sturm Graz. But the Puster player had to leave the field injured after just 29 minutes and sustained a muscle injury in his left thigh. This forces the 25-year-old all-rounder, who has made 16 appearances this year, to take another break of several weeks.

Straudi and Klagenfurt qualified for the championship group of the Austrian Bundesliga this year. “It's extremely bitter because it was only in the winter that I fought back after a long injury break and felt very good physically again. But I accept the situation and will work hard to be able to return to the pitch as quickly as possible,” said the Pusterer in a statement from the Carinthians on social media.
