Bayern poach at Granada: striker Zaragoza is coming

FC Bayern Munich is strengthening itself for the new season with the Spaniard Bryan Zaragoza. The 22-year-old is moving from FC Granada to the Bundesliga, as the German record champions announced on Wednesday.

Bayern will then give the striker a five-year contract until June 2029. “Bryan is one of the high-flyers in Spain and has been on our radar for a long time. He will expand our offensive options,” said Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund. The former Salzburg sports director also said: “Bryan Zaragoza is a strong, very fast and extremely agile winger who can be used on both sides. He is unpredictable, dangerous and very good in one-on-one situations.”

The series champion did not reveal financial details about the transfer. The media reports mention a transfer fee of 15 million euros, which is even higher than the transfer fee of 14 million euros fixed in an exit clause.

Zaragoza, who is only 1,64 meters tall, made his debut for the Spanish national team in October and is one of the league's positive surprises of the season. Zaragoza, who can also play in the center, has played 51 competitive games for Granada so far. He scored ten goals and three assists – five goals and two assists this season alone.
