Defender will probably leave Bayern

After four seasons in Munich, Lucas Hernández's future seems to have been clarified. The move to Paris Saint-Germain is obviously close to completion.

French sports newspaper L'Équipe reported that the 27-year-old would sign a three or five year contract. According to the report, official confirmation is not expected until next week. Hernández was scheduled to complete the mandatory medical checkup on Friday. The transfer fee should be up to 50 million euros. Accordingly, PSG and Bayern are said to have agreed on a sum of between 40 and 45 million, which would also include bonus payments.

The designated new PSG coach Luis Enrique knows Hernández from their shared times in the Primera División, when Enrique was coach of FC Barcelona and Hernández played at Atlético Madrid. In the summer of 2019, the Frenchman moved to FC Bayern for 80 million euros. The left-footed player often struggled with injuries during his time at Bayern and missed a total of 63 games due to injury. The defender was also missing for months recently; Hernández tore a cruciate ligament in his knee at the World Cup in Qatar.
