Fabio Grosso joins the top French club

Last season he confidently led Frosinone from Serie B to Serie A, now Italian world champion Fabio Grosso has a new task ahead of him.

The 45-year-old will be the new coach of Olympique Lyon. The former Italian national defender and 2006 World Cup winner has signed a contract until June 30, 2024 with the option of an extension for another season.

Grosso himself played for Lyon from 2007 to 2009. During his two seasons at OL he played 78 games and won the championship and cup double alongside Remy Vercoutre in 2008.

Last season, Grosso came to the Drususstadion in Bozen as an opponent of FC Südtirol, but after his promotion with Frosinone, he surprisingly did not extend his working paper. Now he wants to get started in France.
