Anna Hofer is in a class of her own

The 54th Muterlauf took place in Dorf Tirol on Sunday morning. The Marreiter Armin Larch and Anna Hofer from Rabland completed the climb up to the Hochmuth (5,65 kilometers and 811 meters in altitude) the fastest.

A total of 60 runners presented themselves in the starting area for the 54th edition, which took place in late summer weather. The winner in the men's field was a Marreiter. The 25-year-old Armin Larch crossed the finish line first in a very good 32.32 minutes. His teammate Patrick Ramoser and Luca Boninsegna from Meran took second and third place, 1.23 and 2.05 minutes behind respectively.


The athletes from the Meran Sports Club dominated the women's competition. As in the previous year, the victory was won by U20 ace Anna Hofer from Rabland, who missed her own course record from the previous year by just 39.24 seconds in 17 minutes. Her Merano teammate Martina Falchetti (39.46) crossed the finish line behind Hofer. Third place went to the 3 winner, Andrea Schweigkofler. Last year's runner-up Emily Vucemillo came fourth. The first four positions all went to the Merano team.
