Boudalia and Tschurtschenthaler win the Soltn mountain half marathon

In the men's field, Boudalia won with the top time of 1:14.57 hours. The 47-year-old Italian-Moroccan, winner of the Marcialonga Running 2015, came out on top 25 seconds ahead of Gianmarco Bazzoni from Bolzano. Third-placed Thomas Niederegger was already over three and a half minutes behind Boudalia at the finish. Last year's winner Gerd Frick came in fifth place. Agnes Tschurtschenthaler celebrated a dominant start-to-finish victory in the women's category. The Sesto native needed 21,1:1 hours to cover the 22.31 kilometers and was only twelve seconds ahead of the course record set by Antonella Confortola in 2003. Tschurtschenthaler distanced Petra Pircher from Vinschger, who came in second place, by almost ten minutes. Edeltraud Thaler from Lana completed the podium in third place. The seventh and final run of the Top7 racing series, the Three Municipalities half marathon from Leifers to Branzoll, will take place on October 25th.

Boudalia and Tschurtschenthaler win the Soltn mountain half marathon

On Sunday the traditional Soltn mountain half marathon took place in Jenesien for the 15th time. Said Boudalia and Agnes Tschurtschenthaler showed their class in the run, which is also considered the sixth stage of the Top7 series. 350 runners took part, which is a new record number of participants.
