Chala Regasa clear winner of the Vienna City Marathon

The Ethiopian Chala Regasa won the 41st Vienna City Marathon on Sunday in 2:06:35 hours.

The 26-year-old started the race as one of the favorites and was already pulling away from the competition around kilometer 30. The 26-year-old missed the course record of 2:05:08 set last year by Kenyan Samuel Mailu by around one and a half minutes. Nazret Weldu, also one of the favorites, won the first VCM victory for a woman from Eritrea in 2:24:08 hours.
