Port and Dallio win Vivicittà run in Bolzano

On Sunday the 38th edition of the Vivicittà run was held in 40 Italian cities. 30.000 athletes took part in the race, which was organized by Uisp. Bolzano was also one of the venues for the traditional race.

In the state capital, the athletes had to complete a 10 km run. This led them from the Court Square to the Talferbrücke, over the Eisackufer to Rovigostraße and finally from Drususallee back to the Court Square.


In the men's field, Davide Port was unbeatable. The athlete from US Quercia won today with a time of 35.43 minutes, relegating Jürgen Wieser from Jenesien and Trentino's Fabio Daves to 15nd and 23rd place by 2 and 3 seconds respectively. The women's race ended with Giulia Dallio's clear victory. The 34-year-old from Trentino prevailed in 41.02 minutes with a whopping lead of 3.55 minutes over Silvi Postal (US Monti Pallidi). Sonja Tscholl from Eisacktal completed the podium in 45.11 minutes.
