10 final fights for Taekwondo South Tyrol in Jesolo

On March 9th and 10th, 2024, a total of 772 athletes took part in the Lions Cup in Jesolo. The Taekwondo South Tyrol-Eurotherm association was represented by 14 athletes.

Anna Gruber (U18 -55) kg won gold. The Lions Cup was Anna's first tournament in the junior/U18 A class in Italy and she won 3 fights. Alexander Oberhofer, who competed in the adult +80 kg class, also took gold.

The Italian vice champion won his first fight against M. Naso from Lombardy. Oberhofer met a South Tyrolean athlete from Kurtatsch, Alexander Zadra, in the final. Oberhofer began his final fight because his opponent gave up in the second round after a hard hit.

Greta Schwarz Spolsino, Emely D'Ailleo, Giacomo Porrino and Tobias Pinggera also won gold in their category. Nicholas Pezzei, Andres Gotter, Lorenz Holzer and Paya Nikafshan also made it to the final. Christofer Pezzei took bronze. Coach Milan Guba is pleased with the overall result of Taekwondo Südtirol-Eurotherm.
