Taekwondo: Two medals in the A class for Team Zadra

The Dolomiti Open recently took place again in Schio (VI) after a 20-year break. A total of 619 athletes from four nations took part in the taekwondo tournament.

Tobias Santer from ASV Zadra fighting/rothobaas offered a brilliant performance in the A class of black belts for men -68 kg, who impressively won two fights in this highest class. Santer only had to admit defeat in the final and thus secured an excellent second place.

His club colleague Thomas Mittermair also took second place in the U-18 youth A black belt class in the -78 kg weight class. Mittermair, although still a red belt, fought in the black belt class at this tournament.

In the B and C color belt classes, the ASV Zadra-fighting/rothoblaas athletes were able to win several gold, silver and bronze medals, of which Alex Fruit's confident victory in the U-16 youth class -33 kg deserves special mention.
