Three martial artists represent Team Zadra in Ancona

The Serie A Italian Taekwondo Championships recently took place in Ancona, in which a total of 321 athletes took part.

ASV Zadra fighting took part in this competition with three athletes: Alexander Zadra, Sabrina Libardi and Tobias Santer.

In the men's heavyweight class -87 kg, 21-year-old Zadra fought his way to the semifinals. Then, due to an old injury that became acute again, he was no longer able to compete in the fight for the final and so his opponent, the eventual winner of this weight class, went on without a fight. The bronze medal at these Italian Championships is little consolation for Zadra, who despite his long-term injuries keeps trying, wins his fights, but then has to raise the white flag.

Libardi got off to a good start in the women's -62kg weight class. She clearly won her first round, but little by little her lack of training became noticeable. In the end it was ninth place.

Santer, who competed in the men's lightweight -68 kg class, had a very difficult draw. This class is one of the most difficult and the one with the most participants in Italy. Tobias showed a decent performance, came into the fight a lap too late for a better result and ultimately finished 17th.
