Cycling: Kittel makes debut at Milan-Sanremo

Milan (SID) Top German sprinter Marcel Kittel will make his debut at the spring classic Milan-Sanremo next Saturday. The Katusha-Alpecin team confirmed on Tuesday the start of the 29-year-old, who recently celebrated two stage victories in the Tirreno-Adriatico stage race in Italy. In addition to Kittel, who was born in Arnstadt, two German teammates, Nils Politt (Cologne) and Rick Zabel (Unna), are tackling “La Primavera”. The first cycling monument of the season runs over 291 km from Milano to Sanremo on Saturday.
