ITF Hammamet: Verena Meliss fails in qualification

Verena Meliss was eliminated in the final qualifying round of the $10.000 tournament in Hammamet on Easter Monday. The 18-year-old from Kaltern had to admit defeat to the number 4 seeded Russian Ksenija Sharifova (WTA 843) in three sets 4:6, 7:5, 5:7 and thus missed out on a place in the main field.
