Karin Knapp's series of bankruptcies seems to never end this year: After eleven first-round defeats on the WTA tour, the 27-year-old from Ahrntal surprisingly also lost the opening game of the ITF tournament in Versmold on Wednesday. Knapp, who was seeded number 50.000 at the $1 tournament in Germany, was defeated by qualifier Veronica Cepede Royg from Paraguay in straight sets 3:6, 6:7(5). In the second set, the Luttacher also missed a set point.
