Ski star Manuel Feller: engagement in Jamaica

Last weekend the name Manuel Feller could be read everywhere. On April 20th he was honored as Tyrol's athlete of the year. Now the ski star got engaged in Jamaica.

"She said yes". With these words the Austrian ski racer Manuel Feller comments on his vacation pictures from Jamaica. He proposed to his long-time girlfriend and mother of his two children, Selina. A diamond ring now adorns his future wife's hand.

In the comments, greats like former Olympic champion and multiple world champion Anna Veith, former world champion Nicole Schmidhofer and former multiple world champion Philipp Schörghofer congratulate.

Who is the stranger?

His now fiancée stays out of the public eye as much as possible. Even in the holiday pictures she can only be seen from behind. They have two children together. Feller recently revealed on the television show “Walek wanders” that she was also a skier and therefore has a lot of understanding for Feller and his career. He added: “If she could have chosen, she might not have gone through with it. But I didn’t give her a choice.”

Feller himself has had the year of his life career-wise. He started in November when he was part of the Austrian triple victory in the slalom together with teammates Marco Schwarz and Michael Matt. Added to this are the two victories in the slalom classics in Adelboden and Wengen and in February in Palisades Tahoe. The whole thing resulted in an unassailable lead, which meant he was able to win the Slalom World Cup. Last week, the 31-year-old was named Tyrolean athlete of the year for this achievement.
